Credit Card

ID Numbers

Credit card (Visa, Amex & Master) companies routinely request the identification number on the back of the card.
This is an added security procedure to protect the card owner A card verification code (CVC) is an extra 3 or 4 digits that help make your credit card transactions more secure. It is sometimes called a CVV or CVN.
Always provide this ID CVC number for your protection and to prevent long authorization delays
Security Tips
Always protect every remote transaction
Never send all your credit card details by open email - fax details whenever possible
and send the security ID CVC number and card billing address separately by fax or email

Visa - has three (3) CVC numbers
AMEX - Front of Card
Amex - has four (4) numbers - called the CVC code

Important Double Check
Double check all card numbers as well as the owner's name appearing on the card and remember the credit card billing address must be identical to the billing address (i.e. statement mailing address) that has been registered with the credit card company.

As a double security check VISA, AMEX and MasterCard check the billing address (statement mailing address) for the slightest address differences.

Always check the address from the credit card's actual mailing statement. This is the address that is registered on the credit card's company computer system.
